A Brief History of the CIA

The year was 1947, President Truman signs the National Security Act establishing the National Security Council, and with it the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in America. From this sprung a covert agency engaged in espionage, sabotage and military intervention on foreign soil completely devoid and detached from any form of democratic rule. Its sole purpose is to sustain the power of wealthy elites.
